: We will explore reharmonization techniques - diatonic substitution, secondary dominants and tritone substitution and how we can use them to enhance chord progressions.
We will continue with more reharmonization - borrowed chords, common tone, pedal point and leading tone diminished 7ths, to enhance a basic chord progression.

We will study Drop Voicings which will set you apart from the average player . These voicings are often over complicated and misunderstood among guitarists. We will look break them down to its simplest form and take advantage of them to play interesting triad and 4 part harmony on the guitar.
Practice exercises to get more familiar drop voicings along various string groupings on the guitar, so you can start using them in your progressions.

Soulful Progressions

We will breakdown standard progressions used in Soul music ( Gospel, RnB etc) and explore various ways to play them along the fretboard.
